A VERY EXCITING DAY

all the way up to the snowline

First thing this morning I had an incredible climb on my way to Podgorica. It has not been very steep, but rather long almost to the snowline. The road never seemed to end. On the way up I saw a very big snake in a spot of sunlight. However as I approached her she decided to look for a better place but I managed to take a picture. By european standards a big snake. Once I reached the top of the mountain it has been a very beautiful ride downhill all the way. Lots of Policeofficers standing on the roadside waiting for the cyclerace to pass again. I saw them already yesterday. On my arrival in Podgorica I decided to take the road to Tuzi as the noise and the traffic in Podgorica were almost unbearable. Suddenly someone screemed and shouted very loud words behind me. I stood with both legs on the ground but got suddenly almost knocked off my feet. I didn`t know what hit me
but suddenly a little guy jumped all over me and fumbled with his hands beneath my jacket and he tried to get hold of my moneybelt. With my elbow I pushed him as hard as I could off my back and by doing so I realized that he was a small crippled guy. I was very angry and I cursed him. Fortunately, just a few moments earlier I pulled my cyclingshorts over the moneybelt, otherwise I am sure it would have been gone. I reached Tuzi in the eveningin heavy rainfall. I did find a place to stay and thought myself very fortunate that nothing else has happened. I mean it could have been worse, the guy could have pulled a knife to get what he wanted.

Pic rubbish lining the roadsideTip The road from Podgorica to Tuzi is very narrow and there is a lot of traffic.
Watch out for the drivers they are all in a hurry
