I have been on the road for the last 27 years and I have used different bicycles to cycle over 400.000 km during which I have visited 120 countries in all continents. During all those years many impressions and ideas have evolved, as I have lived, experienced and survived. During the times I have travelled I have written books, held conferences and basically changed my whole lifestyle. I would like to invite you to come and spend some time reading through my stories published here on my homepage. I do feel very priviledged to have been able to do what I have done.
I have been able to motivate myself over and over again after each completed trip and I have used the roads criscrossing the world in order to find my own path to freedom and happines.

People and all living creatures on this earth experience a continues change and life in general has become faster and more demanding in order to keep up with a changing world. Presently it has become important for me to take more time for myself to be able to think how to use my time more efficiently and make decissions for the future. I love travelling and I love my work and it is because of those two factors that I am able to motivate myself. Travelling by bicycle gives me the opportunity to live and travel sometimes years with the bare essentials. By doing so, I have found a method of respecting nature and at the same time living my dreams. Visit my homepage and see in it a supermarket filled with ideas and thoughts. Take what you need maybe there is something there for you. I would like to share my experiences with you.

We cyclists are a growing group of people using the roads of the world to discover our feelings and move responsibly in nature. We do not only realize our own dreams, we do dream a little bit for others as well. In July 2003 I returned from a two year bikeride which took me from Alaska down to the chilly winds of Patagonia. Three books, new ideas and many extraordinary experiences made this trip an unforgettable experience. And yet during that trip I decided that I will start a new venture in June 2004. I will return to Australia from where I started the first trip in 1977...and if anyone is wondering how I will return to Australia...here is the answer, the same way I left Australia in 1977... by bicycle.
